Plainly put I have an underlying philosophy that guides my personal and at times professional decisions. I try to not push my personal agenda on anyone and truly respect everyone's right to their own beliefs. That being said, what the heck does proletariat mean?

In Marxist theory, the proletariat is that class of society which does not have ownership of the means of production and whose only worth is their labor in exchange for a wage(s) . Proletarians are wage-workers, while some refer to those who receive salaries as the salariat. For Marx, however, wage labor may involve getting a salary rather than a wage per se.
My roots are solidly in America's great working class build by what's now termed the Detroit 3 (when did we stop calling them Big 3?). It's my belief that our working class and its hard work is what makes this country amazing. Over the past 8 years for sure, perhaps longer, there has been an erosion to the very foundation of this class. More and more wealth is concentrated in small elite or "bourgeoisie" pockets causing tremendous strain on the working class. Because of this and risky "lasse faire" attitudes towards our mega financial institutions we're basically being flushed down the toilet of capitalism.
I joke often about "where will you hide when the revloution comes"? (under my bed is the typical answer) But truly it's revloutionairy ideas and radical new concepts that we need to guide us through this obviously PAINFUL rebirthing we as a country are going through right now.
Oh yeah, and I love the shit out of my bike and my cycling friends and the greater cycling community.
